Blog-tober - The Trouble with Axe Wounds

Nobody tells you about the hole
The ragged edges, the seeping or the heat.
The hole came in a blink
But will remain open
Until the necessary ministrations are made.

Stitching will not fix it
There is too much damage for needle and thread
The mechanical motion of stapling
Will only leave further scars
This must heal with time and love.

The trouble with axe wounds
They must stay open for a while
They have to fester and scream and froth
Until the sides come together
And the ditch begins to fill.

Or in other words.

Normal transmission to follow shortly.
